What’s in this newsletter: – This month we take a look at the difference between operating from our personality and revealing our true character. We also have the inspirational quote for the month, A discussion about the Card Reading, card reading – from the from the ‘Sacred Path Cards’ – Standing People; Roots/Giving.

Hello and welcome to another month with WhollyMetaphysical, and what a month this last one has been − Sue and I have been challenged, disappointed and feeling let down on many fronts, and in some ways this has caused us to look deeply into some of our own affairs and question what we really want and why we want it.

More importantly, some of the actions of others prompted us to take a closer look at some of our own actions and beliefs – to do some character evaluation and to make sure we were walking our talk, so to speak. During this process, words of wisdom from our parents and grandparents, would often be heard within our heads and felt strongly within our emotions, or more accurately within the feelings associated with the events.

It would be highly unfair of me to identify the people involved in these stories, but I am using the events to highlight some issues for you to consider in your own affairs. In our story we have been short delivered, accused unfairly, suffered a character assassination, been on the end of broken promises, made commitments of time and effort only to have these cancelled and nullified by the same party who demanded them, been financially wounded and deceived and generally let down.

Now why am I mentioning all of this negative stuff? Well, for one thing, it reminds us that such things are a part of the make up of life and most of us are going to have to deal with these sorts of events at different times. How we face up to it is a large part of our character, it reveals what we are really made of. These events will divulge a true strength and fibre, or they disclose weakness and lack of personal respect and fortitude.

In our case we would like to believe our response has revealed what we are really made of and at the same time clarified our position and strengthened our resolve. It also brings up some of the important aspects for all of us to consider.

One of the problems that have arisen in today’s society is one of personality vs. character. By personality, I mean a person who depends more upon charm, wit and adapting their stance, while presenting a likeable personality to meet his or her own needs of the moment, but with no real consideration of other parties they interact with. Also within this group are those who are your best friend until you have served the function they have for you and then turn their back and discard you on a whim or because you no longer serve their purpose.

By character, I mean one standing with principle, the sort you know where their word is their bond. Who makes considered promises and once made − delivers. One who fulfils their commitments, not just from a sense of duty, but because it represents who they are and what they stand for. A person of character will stand ground firmly, not from stubbiness, but from knowledge and will change position willingly upon the presentation of revealing new information. This person values human dignity and value, above the expediency of the moment and operates in all affairs by the golden rule – “Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.”

So, if you were to make an honest evaluation and assessment of yourself, would you be in the fair-weather friend category, or in the strong and true category? This is not just in relation to your association with others, but more importantly, with yourself also. Would you be game to ask three friends or associates to make this evaluation for you?

Or, if you were attacked on several fronts, falsely accused and worse still, sold short and let down, could you stand strong in your conviction, yet allow for and seek out the truth from your protractors, while not resorting to their level and devices? Our answer here reveals much about us, for often it is our weakness’ that we feel needs so much defending. While from strength we can stand quietly!

Upon your own evaluation –

Can you take it on the chin and forgive the other, or do you need to fight back?

Can your thoughts and actions stand up to scrutiny, or would you prefer to hide behind your facade?

Do you love and respect yourself and can therefore extend the same to others, or do you judge and react to others from disrespect and lack of affection?

Do you live by the Golden Rule or do you get others before they can get you?

In all your affairs, business or otherwise do you deliver long, or do you deliver short?

Do you stand firm in your resolve, or do you vacillate with every whim or confrontation?

Are you prepared to say you’re wrong and change course accordingly? Or are you one of those that are always (not) right?

Would you convince a group to join with you and elicit their commitment to a project and then on a whim or a change of heart, or because it no longer serves your purpose, drop it, or would you fulfil your obligation and then pursue your new direction?

From your answers, you no doubt see that who we are is reflected in our thoughts and actions. Are others seeing who you really are – or are they seeing what you’re selling at the moment? This last point though, is different to presenting yourself in the best light or trying to be the best we can be − an activity we should be engaged in all the time.

Inspirational quote for the month:

“Follow your instincts. That’s where true wisdom manifests itself.”

~ Oprah Winfrey ~

About the Card Reading:

Thank you to the many of you who have emailed in your comments about previous card readings, especially how they have provided such personal inspiration and often timely insights, particularly considering the remoteness factors involved. But doesn’t this just go to show the interconnectedness of us all and the possibility that we are all ONE. A few requested that we use the ‘Sacred Path Cards™’ again for our reading this month and with this we are happy to oblige.

This seems to be a time where a great many of the Sacred and sometimes secret teachings of the past are being revealed and made available for use by us, in this, our time. These cards were prepared by Jamie Sams, who in her introduction shares the belief that this is the right time to share this knowledge, and this is one of the reasons I so love to use these cards; the teaching are not just pertinent and essential for us to know at this time, but draw upon ancient and well tested wisdoms.

She also says “The purpose of the cards is to show you the steps of your spiritual development in a way that allows you to come to your own personal truths.” This is very much in line with the philosophy that we purport within WhollyMetaphysical.

Further she encourages us all to strengthen our ties with Mother Nature, to enter into nature and to use the natural environment to build our life force energy and to listen in the silence. If we will stop and listen, every other life force is offering us assistance and “showing doorways to the worlds of information and wisdom that can be accessed by Two-leggeds (us). These medicine symbols are intended to offer opening for those who seek to Walk in Beauty with All Their Relations. By All Our Relations, we mean the creature beings, the Stone People, the Standing People (trees), and Sky Nation, the Earth Mother, the Four Chief Spirits of Air, Earth, Fire, and Water.”

These cards merely offer a tool for opening the door to a way of thinking, a way of living, and a way of being that could well be worth making a part of our daily experience.

Card reading:

As stated previously the chosen deck is Jamie Sams’ Sacred Path Cards™.

As usual, I have done my best to tune into selecting the card that will carry the message or teaching that will best serve us in our common cause now. The chosen card is –

‘Standing People; ROOTS/GIVING.’

The Teaching

The Standing People, the trees, are our sisters and brothers. They are the chiefs of the plant kingdom. The Standing People provide oxygen for the rest of the Children of Earth. Through their trunks and branches, trees give shelter to the Winged-ones. In their roots, trees provide shelter for smaller Four-legged creatures. Materials for building homes for their human relations are another gift of the Tree Nation.

The Cherokee teach that the Stone People hold energy for the Earth Mother and hold specific records of all that has happened in a place. They teach that the Standing People and all others of the plant kingdom are the givers who constantly provide for the needs of others. The Stone People and the Standing People balance each other as holders and givers.

The Standing people see the needs of all of Earth’s Children and apply themselves to being providers. Each tree and plant has its own gifts, talents and abilities to share. For instance, some trees bear fruit and some provide healing on the emotional and physical level. The white pine is the Tree of Peace and can bring serenity into the life of a person sitting in its shade. The rain forests are full of trees that carry curative properties and substances such as rubber that can be used to assist human kind in making useful items. The world is full of gifts that the Standing People have provided. Furniture, chewing gum, rayon fabric, books, paper, pencils, kitchen matches, spices and seasonings, fruit, nuts, rope, tires, herbal remedies, and grass-roof homes are just a few of the gifts of the Standing People.

Each Standing Person has a special lesson to give human-kind as well as physical gifts. Birch gives the essence of truth and the lessons of being straight with ourselves or being deceived by forked-tongued lies. Pines are peacemakers and peace bringers. Pine teaches the lesson of being in harmony with ourselves and others as well as the lessons of a quiet mind. Rowen, or Mountain Ash, brings protection from harm and teaches the lessons of seeing through deception as well as the lessons of how to protect our Sacred Space. Sycamore teaches the lessons of how to reach our goals and make our dreams come true. Walnut teaches us clarity or focus using our mental gifts and how to use our intelligence properly. Oak teaches us strength of character and how to keep our bodies strong and healthy. Willow is the wood of love and teaches us the-give-and-take or bending that is necessary for love to be fruitful. Cherry teaches us the lessons of clearing the pain of the heart or relating to others in a compassionate manner.

Mimosa is the tree that teaches us the lessons of our female side and the loving heart. I learned many lessons from the Mimosa when I climbed her branches as a child. She taught me the beauty of feeling feminine and her sweet flowers made perfume for my hair. She told me the secret of the Fireflies and how they had unborn stars in their tails. Mimosa told me these stars would grow inside each person with an open heart. Then they would take their place among the Great Star Nation when they had loved and been loved on Earth. Mimosa told me of the pain and betrayals each heart would endure were like water tossed on the fire of these tiny stars to see if they could continue to grow in spite of the hurt. Those that continued to love would one day become big stars and would send the love they had gathered to everyone in the universe as a reminder of the open heart of Great Mystery. Mimosa reminded me to open my heart and to love, no matter how deep my pain, every time I saw my star light up in a “lightening bug” that flew by to be my reminder.

Native people from all parts of our world have lived in harmony with the plant kingdom of their areas and have used the plant kingdom’s gifts to assist them in survival. The indigenous people of Mother Earth have only used what they needed and have not hoarded, out of fear of scarcity, the offerings the trees have given. In our Native American Tradition, we gather all plants in a ceremonial and sacred manner. In my Tradition, we approach the largest plant of the species we are going to gather from, then we offer Tobacco and ask permission. This is the Chief Plant or Tree of that species since it is the oldest and largest. When we receive a feeling or message that it is all right, we pass the first seven plants or trees we could gather from so that the next seven generations of humans will be provided for. In honoring our children and our children’s children we ensure a future for all creatures as well as the plant kingdom.

If we receive a ‘”no” when we ask permission of the Chief Plant, we move to another area to gather and ask permission once again. If we are gathering pine nuts, for example, we only take a little from each tree so that our Brothers and Sisters of the creature kingdom will also be provided for. How do we know when we have gathered enough from one plant? It is easily recognized by those of us in tune with our green Sisters and Brothers. The plant will not let go of its fruit, herbs or nuts when we have taken enough. The plant will strengthen its limbs and refuse to let go. This is the way in which the giving nature of the plant says, “You have taken enough, move on.”

The Senecas say that each tree has more roots than branches. This is a teaching on how each Standing Person is connected to the Earth Mother. As with Standing People, we two-leggeds have a spine like a trunk, arms like branches, hair like leaves. We reach for light as the tree’s branches reach for Grandfather Sun. We receive understanding through our antenna, which is our hair, just as the trees receive light through their leaves. Each human has a different body as do the Standing People; no two are alike. We walk on two legs and see many things whereas our tree relations stand in one place and receive nurturing from the Earth Mother constantly so they may give to others all they have. As Two-leggeds, we also give and receive if we are Walking in Balance. Walking in Balance can be achieved through remembering our roots, the only physical tree part we are lacking as humans.

The standing People teach us how to run our roots deep into the Earth to receive spiritual nurturing as well as the reconnective energy that keeps our bodies healthy. Without these roots we lose Earth-Connection and can no longer Walk in Balance. In my tradition we are taught that humankind is the bridge between Earth and the Sky Nation and like the Standing People, we are of both worlds. To accomplish this balance, we must live in harmony with All Our Relations, be rooted in this world through our Mother Earth, and allow our spirits to fly through the other worlds and be at one with those realities as well. Without being rooted in this world we cannot fully understand the purpose of our visions, dreams, potentials, or the Dreamtime reality.

As we return gratitude for the gifts we have received from others, we acknowledge the root of each blessing. The root of anything is its source. If we return our gratitude to the Source of our blessings, we will balance or world through acknowledging the gifts we receive. We are also reminded that the Ancestors who rode the Wind before us are a part of our roots and that we are here to respect the value of their gifts and their lives by living in a balanced manner. The taproot of all civilizations lives in each of us in the present. To nurture the future is to honor the seeds of the present by allowing them to grow. The Standing people are asking us, as Guardians of our Earth Mother, to look for the root of every blessing, acknowledging the truth in it, and use that blessing for the highest good so that the giving is not in vain.

The Application

The Standing People card speaks to us of roots and giving. We must nurture ourselves through connection to the Earth in order to give freely without exhaustion. The root of the Self is where strength is gathered. This root should be firmly earthed in the soil of our Mother Planet. Without this connection, dreams cannot manifest and our giving cannot be compensated by the Earth Mother. If you are spaced out, stop and reconnect.

Be still and become the trees in order to observe what is growing in your forest. The root of every answer for physical life is found in the Earth. Look to your family tree for the strength offered by your Ancestors. Lift your branches high, seeking the light of Grandfather Sun and you will see how your roots make you of the Earth and yet a bridge to the Sky World. The Standing People are asking you to give of yourself if you are willing to give and receive. Count the root of every blessing with gratitude. Find any blockage that limits your root system or ability to go deeper. Then remove that feeling and go deeper once again for the answers you seek. Remember that we are also the root of the future and through our lives, future generations are nurtured. Weed out anything that will inhibit future growth and you can stand proud among your Tree Relations.

What’s in this newsletter: – This month I share a part of a conversation about peace and healing and the message of the Waitaha Nation, which leads into a Water Healing Ceremony you may wish to be involved in. We also have the inspirational quote for the month, a card reading – from the ‘Sacred Path Cards’ – Thunder-beings – Usable energy.

Hello and welcome to another month with WhollyMetaphysical. The other day Sue and I had an opportunity to attend and participate with a meditation group run by a dear friend and to spend a wonderful day in their company. Here we met Makere from the Waitaha Nation of Peace in New Zealand’s South Island who was their honoured guest and there to share the message of Peace from Waitaha – a message held in trust for over 1,000 years and revealed in the books “Song of Waitaha” and Whispers of Waitaha”. Her story was fascinating and revealing and conveyed with warmth, candour and humour.

My purpose in sharing this is for a couple of reasons: Firstly, as you would know we recently launched TheWorldMediation.com which has the aim of uniting eight million people from all around the world in a cause for peace and at this gathering we met Makere bearing a message of peace and healing – a message held for over a thousand years to be passed on at this time. Do you believe in coincidences?

Additionally we are hearing from other native or indigenous societies from all around the planet, who are also communicating similar messages, that have been undisclosed until this time. What could all of this be telling us?

My second reason comes from a conversation I had with Makere, where we talking about water and its sacred role in the story of life. She reminded me of some matters I had forgotten about, namely that we are made up of more than sixty percent water. This makes us water bearers. Also that water can be used to carry messages. Interesting!

She was telling me about the importance of our rivers, especially in the way they can be used to carry the prayers and good wishes of people to a place they are unable to physically visit. And of course of their vital role in providing the fresh supply so critical to vegetable, animal and human life. Also we spoke about the ability of our vast oceans to hold and transmit the vibrations of life, love and good blessings.

Unfortunately today, far too many of us have forgotten, or claim to have never known about the sacredness of our rivers, lakes and indeed all waterways. And many of us were never taught about the connection between our thoughts and words and their ability to be communicated or transmitted through water.

The work of Dr. Masaru Emoto of Japan shows quite clearly the effect that positive and negative words and emotions can have on water. Crystallized water displayed dazzling arrays of structure when treated with positive stimulus and collapsed, lifeless forms when subjected to the negative. This subject was also discussed in the March Newsletter.

More to the point we were talking about the importance of water ceremonies and the role they can play in returning vitality to our waterways and the subsequent role these can play in the pursuit of peace and healing over the earth. We spoke of the Lummi Nation, who initiated a ceremony back in April to bring healing to the polluted Salish Seas off the coasts of Washington State, USA. Vancouver Island and British Columbia, Canada.

She was saying that people from around the Pacific Rim and in fact from all over the world who had a concern for the state of the life force of our Sacred Water, could add to this effort and send out our love for Mother Earth and the sacred element of Water and in doing so contribute to the healing of these waters and indeed all waterways within the body of our Sacred Grandmother Earth.

She left me with the desire to contribute to the healing of our waterways, joining in with existing programs and ceremonies and finding a way to bring water ceremony and healing to my sphere of influence. I later realized how we can all contribute in a matter of moments a day if we wish to.

Water Healing Ceremony

We all have the opportunity to contribute and participate in the healing of our planet and especially its waterways with this simple exercise. Conducted as a form of ceremony, we have the occasion to add some of the lost ritual to our lives, returning a purpose outside of ourselves and providing a sense of contribution. Our action can make a real difference in the foundations for peace and healing. It can also boost our vitality and sense of well-being on an individual basis.

On a daily or a weekly basis or at least as often as you can, fill a glass with water. Now it can be any old glass or container, but the better the quality, look and feel of your glass, the better you will feel about the rest of the process and possibly yourself.

As to the water it can come from your tap or faucet, from your water tank, or be scooped from a local waterway or the ocean, however, the cleaner the water the better. If you live close to the water, you can get a fresh supply each day, or you could collect a bulk supply. Naturally if your supply is on tap, you need only turn the handle for your daily supply.

If possible complete your ceremony at the same time and in the same place(s) each day.

Now that you have the water in your glass, hold it between your hands and with as much conviction and emotion as you can muster, transfer your healing words, thoughts and images into the water, using any of the following methods.

You could offer prayer over or into the water.
Sit with it held in your lap as you meditate, adding a moment of conscious transference of your message prior to completion.
Play beautiful and uplifting music to the glass of water.
Read inspirational poetry or passages to the water.
Speak words of love, peace and wisdom into it.

Now that you have charged the water, offer thanks to it for providing you with the chance to play an important role in healing and contributing to peace. Then return it to the flow:

This can be achieved by emptying it down the sink or drain, allowing it to find its way to the major bodies of water. Or emptying it directly back into the water course or ocean you collected it from. You could even take a mouthful or so of it, before returning it to the source.

So what does all of this achieve?

One drop of water while it is in that form is separate and isolated from the vast body of water. Yet all the while it is still water. When it joins the vast body it is still water, no longer individually recognized as a drop, but the body of water. All that it was and contained is now merged with the whole. So, just like a homeopathic solution it is now able to influence and bring its message of peace and healing to the whole.

In time, enough of these drops/glasses of water will work for the betterment of not just the water, but all of the life-forms the water sustains.

Now this could be just another beautiful thought, or just one man’s whimsy, or it could be something worth pursuing by us all and thereby contributing to a healthier environment for us all.

Inspirational quote for the month:

“If you realized how powerful your thoughts are, you would never think a negative thought.”

~ Peace Pilgrim ~

Card reading:

As I was writing the content above I kept getting a strong impression to stay on the theme of Native Wisdom. I kept thinking of Jamie Sams ‘Sacred Path Cards.’ I have been reluctant to use these in the past because of the size of the reading, but I am sure we will find a revealing connection, so here goes. – The card selected is ‘Thunder-beings – Usable energy’.

The Teaching

The Thunder-beings make up the love call of the Sky Nation. The fire sticks, or lightning bolts, are a rare gift from the Sky Father to the Earth Mother. The Thunderers who accompany a storm carry the mating call that announces the Divine Union of Earth and Sky. The Thunder-beings are the host of lovers who give energy to the Earth Mother. The Thunder chief proclaims the beauty of the love between Father Sky and Mother Earth. The fire sticks create a bridge between the two lovers and are a physical expression of their love for one another. The cloud people gather where the dance of union is to be held and house the Thunder Chief and Fire Sticks within their bodies awaiting the joyous time.
Through this intricate mating dance, our Earth Mother is reenergized so that life may continue through the nurturing Rains that feed her body. Since our Mother Earth is magnetic in nature, she has need of the electric energies supplied by the Thunder-beings. The Rain People recycle the moisture of Sky World and give back to the Earth Mother so that her body may grow all things green and growing.
As the cloak of Father Sky covers the Earth Mother in a mantle of blue each day, we Two-legged see the beauty of his love for her when the Cloud People form and the thoughts of their combined ideas take physical shape. In our Seneca tongue, Hail-lo-way-ain is the Language of Love. This Language of Love is at work between Father Sky and Mother Earth.
When Mother Earth needs the love and warmth of Grandfather Sun to support the needs of all her children, we see thunderstorms, lightning, and rain as their bodies dance the Sacred Dance of Divine Union. The Thunder Chief calls out in Hail-lo-way-ain, the ancient Language of Love, for the Earth Mother to prepare herself for her bridegroom. The fire medicine that comes between them is lightning (Fire Sticks), which is directed along the lines of energy that form a grid system over her body.
If a fire Stick touches Mother Earth in one area, the electricity may travel great distances to reenergize those places that need the male energy that that Father Sky supplies. The individual needs of all parts of her body are assisted by the Thunder-beings since they are Father Sky’s Medicine Allies, or helpers.
This act of love between Mother Earth and Father Sky can be gentle and tender or torrid and passionate. This love making is experienced as weather changes and climatic shifts by the Children of Earth. Floods and fires, hailstorms and tornadoes, hurricanes and typhoons are the freedom of nature. In every case, the end result is the fulfillment of our Earth Mother’s needs and must be looked at from the viewpoint of the greatest good for all living creatures. Great Mystery has a hand in all acts of the Uniworld and each act supports the need for growth and change.
******
The lovemaking of Mother Earth and Father Sky bring renewal to the whole of Creation. Our personal renewal, which Nature reflects, can be brought about by cleansing our fears, cultivating new growth, releasing old habits, or allowing ourselves to be loved and protected. The Thunder-beings bring us the raw energy we need to change and renew our lives. We humans are Catalyzers who have electromagnetic, giving and receiving, bodies. We are the bridge that connects Earth and Sky when we are in harmony. Like Mother Earth and Father Sky we are male and female in nature. The command of usable energy comes when male and female are in balance within us.

The Application

The thunder-beings card is telling you that you are a Catalizer and may now use the usable energy at hand. You are being funded with the energy needed to complete any task you have in mind. If you have been trying without results or you just couldn’t get enough steam going, this card signals relief. You can drop the frustration and get on with it. The energy is now yours. Call it to you and use it.
Usable energy comes in many forms. See which kind of energy applies to your present situation and then command it. Your body is the lightning rod and will conduct all the energy you need. Shout your intentions to the Sky Nation. The Thunder-beings remind you to replenish yourself equally to the amount of energy you expend. (Abridged)

± Thunder-beings ±

Thunder-beings that give us
The fire from the sky,
Energy for Mother Earth,
Divine Creation flies,
Through the air to touch us
Electrifying change,
Bringing love’s true essence,
Into our hearts again.

May you be abundant in the riches of life;

Moonstone is Feldspar, which is common in the earth’s crust. Moonstone is an opalescent variety of orthoclase and albite, with a blue or white sheen known as adularescence.

Known as a soul stone, it is considered to be excellent for expressing and attracting love and kindness. It is also said to bring happiness into its environment.

It was once called the ‘traveler’s stone’ providing protection against the perils of travel. Moonstone is also a talisman of good fortune and is beneficial to those involved in agriculture.

Moonstone is a stone of new beginnings and as its name suggests it is strongly connected to the moon and also to intuition. It reminds us that everything is part of the cycle of change, just as the moon waxes and wanes and encourages us to pay attention to the cycles of our lives.

Moonstone helps to cool and soothe the emotions and calm over-reactions to emotional and personal situations. It encourages intuitiveness and perception. Moonstone enhances the feminine nature and balances male-female energies. It also soothes instability and stress.

Has a powerful effect on the female reproductive cycle and alleviates menstrual tension. Linked to the pineal gland it balances the hormonal system and stabilizes fluid imbalances. Handy in cases of shock and can be used to calm hyperactive children.

Moonstone assists the digestive, elimination and reproductive systems; it enhances the assimilation of nutrients and assists in the elimination of toxins and fluid retention. It alleviates degenerative conditions of skin, hair, eyes and fleshy organs like the liver and pancreas. It is excellent for PMS, conception, pregnancy and childbirth. Useful in the treatment of circulatory disorders, water related imbalances like swelling and insect stings and bites.

What’s in this newsletter: - After my introductory discussion about a paradigm shift taking place, I am announcing and inviting you to join in The World Meditation which is a project founded in love and peace. We also have the inspirational quote for the month, a card reading – from the ‘Messages with Your Angels’ Oracle cards, Marianne Williamson speaks about Oneness and the guest article ‘Get Rich With Chinese Coins’

Hello and welcome to another month with WhollyMetaphysical. I believe there is a paradigm shift taking place on the planet, lots more people seem to be willing to let go of their rigid interpretations from the past and embracing a new spirituality and interpreting new ways of understanding themselves, along with new ways of dealing with each other individually and collectively. I for one sincerely hope the move will continue in this positive vane. More and more people are adding their voice to a call for change. Many more people are making the necessary internal changes that are required before the external changes can take place.

A paradigm is an overall concept accepted by an individual or by most people in a community, as a way of understanding or interpreting their view of things. Naturally a paradigm shift is a new way of interpreting things or events. If you are new to the concept of a paradigm shift, the following story should help you to quickly grasp its meaning.

During manoeuvres late at night, a sailor was standing watch on the forward deck when he observed a light ahead and reported it to the captain. The captain responded saying, “send this message; suggest you change course 20 degrees to starboard.” Back came the reply, “suggest you change course 20 degrees. The sailor relayed the message to the captain of the ship, who responded; “Send this message, I am the captain of this ship and suggest you change coarse 20 degrees.

The sailor sent the message, and straight away received back another message – “I strongly suggest you immediately change course 20 degrees.” This was quickly sent to the captain, who tersely responded, “Send, I am the captain of a battle ship and I am telling you to change coarse 20 degrees.”

Back came the response, “I am a seaman second class and I strongly recommend you change course straight away.” The captain, who was now very angry, yelled “send, as the captain of this battle ship I am ordering you to change course and make way.”

Back came the reply “I am a lighthouse.”

Needless to say the captain changed course immediately.

Just like the paradigm shift that took us from a flat world to a round one, from an agrarian era to the industrial age, people all over are longing to move away from the dog eat dog, competitive, win at all costs, me against you, fear and deceit system of governance, to one of cooperation, friendly rivalry, openness, respect, harmony and love.

But I believe that in addition to this shift in the minds and hearts of the world’s people, we will require a shift in the background harmonics or the vibrational field that I call the default setting of the planet. To achieve this TheWorldMeditation.com has begun and this is your special invitation to play your part in bringing this about.

Special Announcement:

The Meditation For Peace Project:-

This is a cause for Peace and a Once in a Lifetime Opportunity for YOU and I and people all around the world to participate and contribute to making a real difference in the world.

Imagine, even if just for a moment, a world in which we all get along. Isn’t this a part of what we all want? – A world in which each of us has the freedom to be the best of who we are, while allowing others to be the best of who they are? – A world in which we can lift each other up, rather than tearing each other apart.

Idealistic! I don’t believe so.

I have observed people achieve this, and then extend their peace and understanding into their families and their communities. Imagine vast numbers of us, energetically linked, figuratively holding hands all around the world. And then we all sit down and meditate* together, while holding a vision and the vibration of love and peace. This has the potential to vibrationally change the default setting currently on Mother Earth from one of fear and mistrust to one of love, courage, peace and empowerment.

*It is not essential that you know how to formally meditate in order to participate in this project as we will provide a guided visualisation/meditation for the purpose. Also the ability to sit and hold an intention will suffice. Plus, there is plenty of time to learn, if you want to.

My mission is to gather this group together and to achieve this purpose I invite you to join with us. In fact our aim is to gather together 8 million people, located all around the world, and to use our combined intention to bring about harmony and a sense of oneness to us all. You can share in our vision, or learn more about this project for peace at now at; www.theworldmeditation.com

Inspirational quote for the month:

“The real and lasting victories are those of peace and not of war.”

~ Ralph Waldo Emerson ~

Card reading:

Thank you to all of you who sent emails and left comments about the card readings. It really is incredible the way synchronicity works – a few words on a card can throw light on a problem and help resolve it, or point the way or resolve a problem, or provide warmth and comfort for a troubled soul. All the more incredible when we consider the distances between us, the differences of time and that one man can pick the perfect card or message for another. To me this really shows the connection between us all, and that while we are all individuations of the one, what any one of us thinks, or holds the energy of, really does affect and influence us all.

This month as I looked at my collection of Oracle cards, Denise Linn’s Soul Coaching set had a little shimmer around it, so following the clue it was selected for our reading. After my request for guidance, the cards were shuffled and ‘Enthusiasm’ was chosen.

‘Enthusiasm’

Card Meaning: Embrace life with excitement, and celebrate even the smallest victories! Let your childlike exuberance radiate to others – this isn’t the time to be cool or reserved. Find joy in the ordinary events of life, and discover what’s great about today!

Your soul wants you to know: It’s easy to think you will be enthusiastic once your dreams have become reality; however, the fastest way to manifestation is to be joyous about what you already have. As a direct result of your unabashed excitement, you’ll start to see miracles in your life and in the lives of those around you. Additionally, enthusiasm is a direct path to vibrant health; it helps improve your immune system and sends a message to your body that it’s healthy, vital and strong.

Affirmation: “I celebrate everything in my life, and I live in limitless joy!”

Marianne Williamson speaks about Oneness and Humanity’s Team

A friend of ours sent us this video; we watched it and realized it was very much in line with what we are about. So we thought we would share it with you also.

Get Rich With Chinese Coins

Presented by Corrine Nicholson

Traditional Chinese i-ching coins are instantly recognisable to people all over the world. They have been symbols of wealth and prosperity for hundreds of years and are often carried as ‘lucky’ pieces due to their important role in the practice of Feng Shui.

The Chinese wealth coins recognised today are round, brass, about the size of our $1 coin, with a square hole in the centre surrounded by four Chinese characters on one side and two on the other symbolising the Earth and the Universe in a harmonious way and makes the Chinese coin an excellent Feng Shui tool, since it brings harmony to monetary problems and increases prosperity. The power of these coins was recognised by early Feng Shui practitioners in China for increasing wealth or money energy and Buddhists would also use the coins in their ceremonies.

One type of coin available today will often have the symbols of the Dragon and Phoenix which represent control over money situations and the ability to succeed when things seem hopeless while the other popular coin has four Chinese symbols on one side and two Chinese symbols on the other side and they are known to attract your wealth.

Whether you buy genuine or reproduction Chinese coins, they are all versatile, compact, and powerful Feng Shui items. The fact that they are small enough to carry in your pocket, yet contain powerful wealth enhancing energy makes them the perfect Feng Shui wealth cure.

You can use a single coin or use groups of three or eight tied together with red ribbon which is known to also help attract your wealth. Carried in your purse or wallet with the four symbols facing upwards will bring you extra wealth energy, ensuring that you will always have money. Other excellent ways to use any Chinese coins are to attach them to a cheque book, appointment or date book, telephone, computer, cash register, or credit card machine in a home or business, since the coins represents coming prosperity and will attract future wealth.

Whatever way you use Chinese coins in Feng Shui, remember to use them and let their power and tradition enhance your Feng Shui wealth energy!

About Corinne Nicholson. I’m a full time practicing, nationally accredited & recognised feng shui practitioner who also has international experiences and studies that would be brought to any consultation. As a feng shui practitioner I’ve had the honour and privilege to spend the last 10 years studying, exploring, experiencing and enjoying living with the freedom feng shui has brought me.

Since early times, incense has been an integral part of worship and ritual in temples, churches, ashrams, and mosques as well as being used in the home to purify and sweeten the atmosphere and remove or neutralize negative energies.

Most of you are familiar with stick incense and cones, but you may never have experienced the pleasures of burning pure resins and chips. So let us encourage you to release these fragrant treasures of nature into your personal environment.

These are the items you’ll need to get started:

1. Incense Resin.
2. Charcoal Tablets.
3. A suitable container.
4. Matches or a cigarette lighter.
5. A candle.
6. Sand.
7. Mica Plate. (Optional)
8. A feather or piece of cardboard. (Optional)
9. Long handled Tweezers or long nose pliers.

Incense

There is plenty to choose from; resins like Frankincense and Myrrh, in granules or powders, and wood chips like Sandalwood and pine, to mixes and ritual blends.

The Container

You can use a store bought incense burner or censer, look for one that is brass, bronze, or stoneware and that preferably has legs. The legs of the vessel prevent the heat from damaging the surface beneath it. Traditional incense vessels have three legs - symbolizing the body, mind and spirit.

You can make do with anything else that suits the purpose, such as an ashtray, a plain metal or porcelain bowl, but whatever you are using, make sure you set it on a fireproof surface; a trivet, or an old tile, or a ceramic plate is suitable for this. I prefer to use a little sand in the bottom of whatever censer I am using.

If you are using a plain metal or porcelain bowl, it’s best if you can fill it with sand and place your charcoal on the top of this. Use your imagination, most likely you already have something around the house that will make a great censer. You don’t need a fancy incense burner to enjoy the ritual of incense burning.

If you want to burn incense outdoors find a large flat stone and heat it up in the campfire. You may then sprinkle the surface of the stone with your incense. If you throw herbs or incense resins directly into the fire they burn too quickly. This method will also work in your home fireplace.

Charcoal Tablets or Disks

The Charcoal tablets or disks that are used for incense burning are NOT the same as those used for your backyard barbecue grill. You won’t want to use BBQ charcoal indoors as it may produce noxious fumes.

Once lit, Incense charcoal is self-burning; the means of combustion is included in the disk. If you have a hard time lighting your charcoal, it may be damp. Leave it out in the sun to dry.

It’s always best to place the charcoal on a bed of sand. It will burn more evenly and keep its amber like glow longer. In addition the sand will reduce the risk of the container cracking due to the extensive heat charcoal produces. The sand layer under the charcoal should be at least 2cms deep.

If you have a Mica Plate, this is a small thin piece of the mineral Mica; you can lay it on top of the charcoal. You then deposit your resin onto the plate and it will begin to burn. A Mica plate helps your material last longer as it is not in direct contact with the charcoal.

Feather

Feathers are traditionally used to fan the lighted charcoal; any kind of large feather will do. If you don’t have a feather then a piece of cardboard can be used as a fan. Fanning the charcoal provides oxygen which allows the tablet to produce a more even burn.

Candle

This is used to light the charcoal disk. I have a preference for plain unscented candles for this purpose. Once you light the candle with your matches or lighter, you have the benefit of a continuing flame, which makes it easier to light the charcoal, avoiding the annoyance of matches extinguishing before you get the tablet going and/or burning your fingers.

Tweezers

Use a long handled pair of tweezers or pliers to hold the charcoal over the candle flame and then deposit it in the incense vessel. N.B. Do not attempt to light or hold the charcoal tablet with your fingers.

Burning Your Incense

Set aside sufficient time so that you can enjoy the ritual of burning incense. Choose a location, where there are no easily combustible objects nearby. Be aware that fanning and blowing charcoal may send sparks into the air.

First gather all your items together. Start by lighting your candle. Then holding the charcoal tablet with your tweezers, place it in the candle flame until the tablet starts to crackle and glow. Next set the charcoal in your container on a bed of sand. You may now slowly fan or blow on the tablet. Only after the charcoal is aglow and stops crackling do you put your incense into the indentation on the top.

Be careful…it’s hot. Use a knife, spoon or tweezers to drop your incense onto the tablet.

Finally, be aware of a potential fire hazard: Charcoal may continue to burn for two hours after lighting – so don’t just throw it in the garbage or onto the garden. It’s a good idea to leave disposal for a least a few hours, or I prefer to leave it until the next day.

For all those born in the month of April, your Birthstone is Diamond.

Diamond is the hardest natural substance and no naturally occurring material can cut or even scratch it. The Diamond has remarkable optical characteristics and mechanical properties, and these combined with well-organized marketing, have made the diamond such a popular gemstone. Diamond has an isometric crystallography. It is most common and popular in its clear variety, but also occurs in many other colours, called fancies, which are rarer and more expensive.

Diamond was used during ancient times as a talisman against cowardice and was recognized as a “stone to enhance invulnerability”. It rallies strength with age and maintains the energy to stimulate unity and love of oneself and others.

This gem is said to be one of the stones used on the breastplate of the high priest.

Intensity is a key word for diamond; it emanates more energy for its size than any other crystal. As an energy amplifier, it works well with any other stone, enhancing its power for healing. It is one of the few stones that never needs recharging. This mineral is known as the “King of Crystals,” it reflects all colours of the rainbow and chakra system. It is a stone of clarity, commitment and communication that enhances prosperity, love and spirituality.

Unsurpassed as a symbol of wealth for thousands of years, the Diamond is a stone of manifestation, attracting abundance. It is also a symbol of purity and is said to bond relationships, bringing love, constancy and clarity into a partnership. It is seen as a symbol of commitment and fidelity, and is the stone traditionally chosen for engagement rings.

It enhances creativity by stimulating inventiveness and imagination. It will bring clarity of mind and aid enlightenment. It reminds you of your soul’s aspirations and assists its’ spiritual evolution.

Diamond may be used to clarify and stimulate sight, to benefit the brain, as a metabolic balancing agent and has been used traditionally to counteract the effects of poisoning.
