WhollyMetaphysical Newsletter – June 2010

What’s in this newsletter: – This month I share a part of a conversation about peace and healing and the message of the Waitaha Nation, which leads into a Water Healing Ceremony you may wish to be involved in. We also have the inspirational quote for the month, a card reading – from the ‘Sacred Path Cards’ – Thunder-beings – Usable energy.

Hello and welcome to another month with WhollyMetaphysical. The other day Sue and I had an opportunity to attend and participate with a meditation group run by a dear friend and to spend a wonderful day in their company. Here we met Makere from the Waitaha Nation of Peace in New Zealand’s South Island who was their honoured guest and there to share the message of Peace from Waitaha – a message held in trust for over 1,000 years and revealed in the books “Song of Waitaha” and Whispers of Waitaha”.  Her story was fascinating and revealing and conveyed with warmth, candour and humour.

My purpose in sharing this is for a couple of reasons: Firstly, as you would know we recently launched TheWorldMediation.com which has the aim of uniting eight million people from all around the world in a cause for peace and at this gathering we met Makere bearing a message of peace and healing – a message held for over a thousand years to be passed on at this time. Do you believe in coincidences?

Additionally we are hearing from other native or indigenous societies from all around the planet, who are also communicating similar messages, that have been undisclosed until this time. What could all of this be telling us?

My second reason comes from a conversation I had with Makere, where we talking about water and its sacred role in the story of life. She reminded me of some matters I had forgotten about, namely that we are made up of more than sixty percent water. This makes us water bearers. Also that water can be used to carry messages. Interesting!

She was telling me about the importance of our rivers, especially in the way they can be used to carry the prayers and good wishes of people to a place they are unable to physically visit. And of course of their vital role in providing the fresh supply so critical to vegetable, animal and human life. Also we spoke about the ability of our vast oceans to hold and transmit the vibrations of life, love and good blessings.Hands of Light - Healing Water

Unfortunately today, far too many of us have forgotten, or claim to have never known about the sacredness of our rivers, lakes and indeed all waterways. And many of us were never taught about the connection between our thoughts and words and their ability to be communicated or transmitted through water.

The work of Dr. Masaru Emoto of Japan shows quite clearly the effect that positive and negative words and emotions can have on water. Crystallized water displayed dazzling arrays of structure when treated with positive stimulus and collapsed, lifeless forms when subjected to the negative. This subject was also discussed in the March Newsletter.

More to the point we were talking about the importance of water ceremonies and the role they can play in returning vitality to our waterways and the subsequent role these can play in the pursuit of peace and healing over the earth. We spoke of the Lummi Nation, who initiated a ceremony back in April to bring healing to the polluted Salish Seas off the coasts of Washington State, USA. Vancouver Island and British Columbia, Canada.

She was saying that people from around the Pacific Rim and in fact from all over the world who had a concern for the state of the life force of our Sacred Water, could add to this effort and send out our love for Mother Earth and the sacred element of Water and in doing so contribute to the healing of these waters and indeed all waterways within the body of our Sacred Grandmother Earth.

She left me with the desire to contribute to the healing of our waterways, joining in with existing programs and ceremonies and finding a way to bring water ceremony and healing to my sphere of influence. I later realized how we can all contribute in a matter of moments a day if we wish to.

Water Healing Ceremony

We all have the opportunity to contribute and participate in the healing of our planet and especially its waterways with this simple exercise. Conducted as a form of ceremony, we have the occasion to add some of the lost ritual to our lives, returning a purpose outside of ourselves and providing a sense of contribution. Our action can make a real difference in the foundations for peace and healing. It can also boost our vitality and sense of well-being on an individual basis.

On a daily or a weekly basis or at least as often as you can, fill a glass with water. Now it can be any old glass or container, but the better the quality, look and feel of your glass, the better you will feel about the rest of the process and possibly yourself.

As to the water it can come from your tap or faucet, from your water tank, or be scooped from a local waterway or the ocean, however, the cleaner the water the better. If you live close to the water, you can get a fresh supply each day, or you could collect a bulk supply. Naturally if your supply is on tap, you need only turn the handle for your daily supply.

If possible complete your ceremony at the same time and in the same place(s) each day.

Now that you have the water in your glass, hold it between your hands and with as much conviction and emotion as you can muster, transfer your healing words, thoughts and images into the water, using any of the following methods.

You could offer prayer over or into the water.
Sit with it held in your lap as you meditate, adding a moment of conscious transference of your message prior to completion.
Play beautiful and uplifting music to the glass of water.
Read inspirational poetry or passages to the water.
Speak words of love, peace and wisdom into it.

Now that you have charged the water, offer thanks to it for providing you with the chance to play an important role in healing and contributing to peace. Then return it to the flow:

This can be achieved by emptying it down the sink or drain, allowing it to find its way to the major bodies of water. Or emptying it directly back into the water course or ocean you collected it from. You could even take a mouthful or so of it, before returning it to the source.

So what does all of this achieve?Water

One drop of water while it is in that form is separate and isolated from the vast body of water. Yet all the while it is still water. When it joins the vast body it is still water, no longer individually recognized as a drop, but the body of water.  All that it was and contained is now merged with the whole. So, just like a homeopathic solution it is now able to influence and bring its message of peace and healing to the whole.

In time, enough of these drops/glasses of water will work for the betterment of not just the water, but all of the life-forms the water sustains.

Now this could be just another beautiful thought, or just one man’s whimsy, or it could be something worth pursuing by us all and thereby contributing to a healthier environment for us all.

Inspirational quote for the month:

“If you realized how powerful your thoughts are, you would never think a negative thought.”

Card reading:Sacred Path Cards

As I was writing the content above I kept getting a strong impression to stay on the theme of Native Wisdom. I kept thinking of Jamie Sams ‘Sacred Path Cards.’ I have been reluctant to use these in the past because of the size of the reading, but I am sure we will find a revealing connection, so here goes. – The card selected is ‘Thunder-beings – Usable energy’.

The Teaching

The Thunder-beings make up the love call of the Sky Nation. The fire sticks, or lightning bolts, are a rare gift from the Sky Father to the Earth Mother. The Thunderers who accompany a storm carry the mating call that announces the Divine Union of Earth and Sky. The   Thunder-beings are the host of lovers who give energy to the Earth Mother. The Thunder chief proclaims the beauty of the love between Father Sky and Mother Earth. The fire sticks create a bridge between the two lovers and are a physical expression of their love for one another. The cloud people gather where the dance of union is to be held and house the Thunder Chief and Fire Sticks within their bodies awaiting the joyous time.
Through this intricate mating dance, our Earth Mother is reenergized so that life may continue through the nurturing Rains that feed her body. Since our Mother Earth is magnetic in nature, she has need of the electric energies supplied by the Thunder-beings. The Rain People recycle the moisture of Sky World and give back to the Earth Mother so that her body may grow all things green and growing.
As the cloak of Father Sky covers the Earth Mother in a mantle of blue each day, we Two-legged see the beauty of his love for her when the Cloud People form and the thoughts of their combined ideas take physical shape. In our Seneca tongue, Hail-lo-way-ain is the Language of Love. This Language of Love is at work between Father Sky and Mother Earth.
When Mother Earth needs the love and warmth of Grandfather Sun to support the needs of all her children, we see thunderstorms, lightning, and rain as their bodies dance the Sacred Dance of Divine Union. The Thunder Chief calls out in Hail-lo-way-ain, the ancient Language of Love, for the Earth Mother to prepare herself for her bridegroom. The fire medicine that comes between them is lightning (Fire Sticks), which is directed along the lines of energy that form a grid system over her body.
If a fire Stick touches Mother Earth in one area, the electricity may travel great distances to reenergize those places that need the male energy that that Father Sky supplies. The individual needs of all parts of her body are assisted by the Thunder-beings since they are Father Sky’s Medicine Allies, or helpers.
This act of love between Mother Earth and Father Sky can be gentle and tender or torrid and passionate. This love making is experienced as weather changes and climatic shifts by the Children of Earth. Floods and fires, hailstorms and tornadoes, hurricanes and typhoons are the freedom of nature. In every case, the end result is the fulfillment of our Earth Mother’s needs and must be looked at from the viewpoint of the greatest good for all living creatures. Great Mystery has a hand in all acts of the Uniworld and each act supports the need for growth and change.
******
The lovemaking of Mother Earth and Father Sky bring renewal to the whole of Creation. Our personal renewal, which Nature reflects, can be brought about by cleansing our fears, cultivating new growth, releasing old habits, or allowing ourselves to be loved and protected. The Thunder-beings bring us the raw energy we need to change and renew our lives.  We humans are Catalyzers who have electromagnetic, giving and receiving, bodies. We are the bridge that connects Earth and Sky when we are in harmony. Like Mother Earth and Father Sky we are male and female in nature. The command of usable energy comes when male and female are in balance within us.

The Application

The thunder-beings card is telling you that you are a Catalizer and may now use the usable energy at hand. You are being funded with the energy needed to complete any task you have in mind. If you have been trying without results or you just couldn’t get enough steam going, this card signals relief. You can drop the frustration and get on with it. The energy is now yours. Call it to you and use it.
Usable energy comes in many forms. See which kind of energy applies to your present situation and then command it. Your body is the lightning rod and will conduct all the energy you need. Shout your intentions to the Sky Nation. The Thunder-beings remind you to replenish yourself equally to the amount of energy you expend.  (Abridged)
