What you say is what you get

We have all heard this many times but have you ever stopped to think about what it really means? Over these past few months I have noticed what many people have been saying about the state of the economy; there has been much talk about how bad it is. Although it has been tough times for many it has also been good times for others.

What was the difference? How can one business do very well in tough economic times and another similar business thrive? I think a major difference is in how they think and what they say.

The business owners that do very well always have a positive attitude and speak about making lots of sales and having many customers coming through the doors. While the business owners that don’t do so well have a different outlook; when you talk to these business owners they always say “we are doing okay, considering the current tough economic times it is sure to be slow considering all that is happening”.

I also had some friends open a new business in what was considered a very bad time to open, as many other were closing, but they had a very positive attitude and are making a profit and doing better than expected.

This doesn’t just apply to business. I have friends who always seem to be getting sick with whatever is going round, eg the flu, stomach bug etc., while other friends never seem to get sick at all. The difference is in what is said! – do you say “I never get sick” or “I always catch whatever flu or bug is going round”.

Next time someone asks “how are you”; think about how you answer, you can answer with a positive reply or a negative. It’s always your choice. If you are in business and someone asks “how is business”, stay positive and see if things change. Of course one positive answer will not turn around a slow business but many positive thoughts and words said with feeling can change things.

Using The Law of Attraction to find a Parking Space.

Do you always get a park for your car where you want it?Parking Space

Or do you drive round and round looking for that empty car space?

We always get to park our car exactly where we want to park. How do we do this? It really is very simple, we ask.

Let me explain a bit more, we use the Law of Attraction to help us find a car park. Both Ron and I have a different method of doing this, but in principle we both do the same thing. When we set out to go somewhere, Ron asks the parking angles to find us a car space where we want it. When we arrive at our destination we find an empty space exactly where we wanted it.

I on the other hand say a little prayer that works for me. As I enter a car park I say

“Mother Mary full of grace please find me a parking space”. So far this prayer has worked very well for me.

Sometimes when we talk about the Law of Attraction we ask and work for all the big things and forget about asking for help with everyday issues, such as finding a parking space.

I have also found that by using the principle of The Law of Attraction for small things it gives you the confidence to ask for bigger things. It is also very practical to use it for mundane things like finding a parking space.

Try it next time you go out, the more you do it the better it will work.

Does the Law of Attraction and buying a car go together?

Well, here’s a quick little story to determine the answer.

For my part I would say YES, the Law of Attraction does work.

For a long time now we have been operating as a one car family, our old car, a 1990 model Seca has been serving us well for many years and has put 575000kms on the clock. It has been running reliably and working hard all of this time.

I am of the old school, were you buy a car, adopt it as part of the family, treat it well and one day when it dies you send it to auto heaven.

For the last couple of years, friends and family have been asking when we are going to get a new car, as surely our old one is getting too old to be dependable, and might let us down. Not a good thing when you live in the country. I have always responded, “This one hasn’t died yet!”

Well, anyway the other week I was driving it when I got this feeling that maybe we should look to buying a new car. When I got home that night, Sue said “I think it’s about time we went back to being a two car family”. (more…)
